ASFA chief joins Irish software provider

The chief executive of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia has joined a Dublin-based provider of software to the life insurance sector.

FINEOS announced Martin Fahy will join its board as non-executive director.

Currently chief executive of ASFA, Fahy was previously a partner at KPMG and chief executive of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Fahy will be keynote presenter at the FINEOS APAC Summit which is taking place in Sydney later this month, where he will discuss the changing insurance landscape.

FINEOS also announced Anne O'Driscoll's appointment to the board, also as non-executive director. She is a chartered accountant and is on the board of Comminsure, Steadfast and Infomedia.

O'Driscoll was previously chief financial officer at Genworth Australia and has worked with PwC and IAG.

The appointments come as the company plans to scale rapidly, with plans for significant growth in the Asia Pacific region.

FINEOS chair Peter le Beau said: "We are delighted that Anne and Martin have agreed to serve as FINEOS directors and look forward to benefitting from their judgment and insight. Their experience across financial services and IT transformation will add a valuable perspective to our board"
