MAX AWARDS 2025

Recognising commercial creativity, innovation, strategy, and leadership. That is what the Financial Standard MAX Awards is all about.

Sales, advertising and marketing professionals, as well as campaigns, are called to be nominated for the 2025 awards.

Twenty-two awards will be showcased, covering the leading agencies, campaigns, rising stars, teams and executives in financial services.

Financial Standard is looking for leaders in investment management, platforms, super funds, wealth groups, banks, insurers and more. Nominations are open until 28 March 2025.

Please be as detailed and creative with your nominations as possible; it's what we'd expect from this cohort after all.

Financial Standard's Investment Leadership Award winners will also be recognised as part of the awards celebrations on 5 June 2025.

AWARD CATEGORIES

Agency of the Year - Creative

This award recognises a creative agency that has been able to achieve tangible uplift and growth for their clients, through branded assets deployed across a variety of channels. Key metrics that showcase success in this category include brand recognition, net promoter score, digital metrics, lead generation, revenue growth and more.

2024 winner: Nibble Digital

Agency of the Year - Media

This award recognises the media buying agency that has best represented its financial services clients over the past year. Agencies can be nominated separately for work across multiple client portfolios, with the finalists named alongside their work with a specific client.

Key metrics for this category include revenue growth, lead generation and key digital metrics.

2024 winner: Fundamental Media

Agency of the Year - PR & Communications

This award recognises the leading public relations and communications agency over the past year who has best serviced their financial services clients. The award considers organisations who have best been able to gain trade and consumer media traction for their clients and have updated client messaging and positioning to drive growth.

The 2025 Agency of the Year - PR & Communications award will not proceed to voting but instead be determined by the Financial Standard editorial team.

2024 winner: ABC PR

Campaign of the Year - Agency

This award recognises the leading campaigns driven by agencies in partnership with their wealth management clients. We are seeking submissions recognising agencies that have planned singular or cross channel campaigns that have delivered outstanding ROI for their clients. Key metrics across various channels will be considered for the category, including conversions, form submissions, brand awareness, website impressions, clicks, impressions, reach and more.

2024 winner: Ptarmigan Media & Insignia Financial

Campaign of the Year - Digital

This award recognises a specific digital campaign that has driven growth for an organisation. The campaign can span multiple digital channels including display advertising, email, sponsored content, PPC, paid social and more. The campaign should drive efficiency in terms of ROI including revenue, cost per conversion, cost per lead, cost per click and overall impressions.

2024 winner: BlackRock - iShares

Campaign of the Year - Financial Education

This award recognises a campaign that has improved the financial literacy of its intended audience, which can be across trade or consumer channels. The campaign showcases thought leadership that drives adoption of better practices, new technologies, diverse investments, asset classes and more.

2024 winner: Hostplus - Know your super

Campaign of the Year - Multimedia

This category is for the most effective brand communication through the use of video and audio. For this category, multimedia can be displayed across mediums such as television, websites, social media and digital advertising. Key metrics for this category include overall listens/watchers, retention rates, brand awareness and social engagement.

2024 winner: BNP Paribas - Green bonds

Campaign of the Year - Print (Consumer)

This award is given to the campaign that utilises print advertising mediums to best fulfil and exceed their campaign objectives over the past year in order to generate a return on investment within the consumer media space. Key metrics for this award include brand recognition and conversions.

2024 winner: Betashares

Campaign of the Year - Print (Trade)

This award is given to the campaign that utilises print advertising mediums to best fulfil and exceed their campaign objectives over the past year in order to generate a return on investment within the trade media space. Key metrics for this award include brand recognition and conversions.

2024 winner: Generation Life

Campaign of the Year - Social Media

This award is for marketing campaigns conducted via social media channels, which are considered across organic and/or paid campaign efforts. The metrics considered a success in this category are increased views and following in the specific channel, improved brand recognition, website impressions, lead generation and conversions.

2024 winner: BT Financial Group - People behind Panorama

Community Initiative of the Year

This award acknowledges a campaign or initiative that set out to change the access to resources, overall behaviour or affect the thinking of their customers or the wider community. This campaign has achieved the most significant social benefits.

2024 winner: HUB24 - Pro Bono Financial Advice Network

Executive of the Year - Agency

This award is for the individual who has represented their agency with distinction and has achieved the best results for their clients. Agencies can include media buying, creative and public relations. Key ROI metrics should be included as part of the submission, and testimonials will support the submission.

2024 winner: Ellie Beryl, Fundamental Media

Executive of the Year - Distribution

This award identifies the best sales professional working for a financial services organisation in a sales, distribution or business development capacity. The winner will have helped their organisations drive growth in funds under management, net flows, new client acquisition, platform adoption and more.

2024 winner: Michael Watson, La Trobe Financial

Executive of the Year - Marketing

This award honours an outstanding marketing manager who has served with dedication, leadership and innovation. The executive of the year oversees an organisation's marketing strategy that has result in increased brand awareness and brand trust, which has contributed to sales growth for their organisation

2024 winner: Aimee Corsiglia, Franklin Templeton

Integrated Campaign of the Year - Consumer

This award is for the most effective B2C cross-platform marketing campaign with above and below the line elements designed from the outset. The award winner will have achieved success across other 'Campaign of the Year' categories as part of the MAX Awards, with the best overall ROI achieved in terms of sales growth and brand metrics.

Integrated Campaign of the Year - Industry

This award is for the most effective B2B cross-platform marketing campaign with above and below the line elements designed from the outset. The award winner will have achieved success across other 'Campaign of the Year' categories as part of the MAX Awards, with the best overall ROI achieved in terms of sales growth and brand metrics.

2024 winner: Generation Life - Reimagining Legacy

Rising Star of the Year - Agency

New in 2025, the Rising Star of the Year award recognises an up-and-coming agency professional with under five years of industry experience, who has made an immediate impact on their organisation. This agency professional can work across media buying, creative or PR roles, and has executed on briefs to drive new ideas and a strong ROI for their clients.

Rising Star of the Year - Distribution

The Rising Star of the Year award recognises an up-and-coming sales and distribution professional with under five years of industry experience, who has made an immediate impact on their organisation. The executing on sales campaigns and efforts, the individual has been able to drive product adoption and inflows while building client relationships.

2024 winner: Guy McInerney, Franklin Templeton

Rising Star of the Year - Marketing

New in 2025, the Rising Star of the Year award recognises an up-and-coming marketing professional with under five years of industry experience, who has made an immediate impact on their organisation. Through executing on marketing campaigns, this individual has been able to deliver outstanding results in terms of driving marketing efficiency, new ideas and ROI.

Team of the Year - Distribution

This award recognises an outstanding sales and business development team who has worked together to deliver growth in funds under management, net flows, new client acquisition, platform adoption and more.

2024 winner: Betashares

Team of the Year - Marketing

This award recognises an outstanding marketing team who has worked together to deliver effective campaigns and brand strategies in order to generate increased brand awareness and sales growth for their organisation.

2024 winner: Global X ETFs

Website of the Year

This award is for the website that delivers the most outstanding innovation, content, interactivity and whose design results in valuable user experience and captures the greatest return on investment.

2024 winner: GQG Partners

NOMINATE

The MAX (Marketing, Advertising and Sales Excellence) Awards recognises leading individuals, teams and organisations in the Australian financial services industry who have achieved excellence in marketing, advertising and sales.

Winners are awarded across 22 categories for their creative, innovative and effective marketing and sales campaigns that delivered increased engagement and ROI over the past year.

You can put yourself, your colleague, your peer and your organisation forward in as many categories as you wish, but only vote for the same nominee once under a given category, as the focus for nominations is on quality, not quantity.
