The AFA Adviser of the Year for 2019 has been crowned at a gala dinner in Adelaide overnight.
The Association of Financial Advisers has awarded its highest honours, presenting the Adviser of the Year, Female Excellence in Advice, Excellence in Education and Rising Star awards.
The AFA's highest honour, the AFA and Zurich Adviser of the Year was awarded to Simone Du Chesne.
Du Chesne is principle of EQ Wealth and Quantum Wealth and has been a financial adviser for over a decade.

Prior to entering the financial advice industry, Du Chesne was head of product for jewellery chain DIVA and global design director for Sheridan Australia.
AFA chief executive Phil Kewin said: "Simone is an exceptional role model in today's challenging environment. She has a proven philosophy for meeting the financial and emotional needs of clients which translates to consistent outstanding feedback from her clients."
Chief distribution officer, Zurich Life & Investments Kristine Brooks added: "Simone is leading by example, helping to fulfil one of the award's key ambitions - to create a more trusted, robust and diverse profession that continues to raise the bar."
The AFA and OnePath Rising Star has been awarded to Chris Carlin from Master Your Money Now.
Carlin launched his business in Geelong in July 2018. He's been in the advice industry since 2011 when he started out as a paraplanner.
Kewin said: "Chris shone amongst his peers for his commitment to personal growth and unique and engaging approach to educating and empowering clients. Chris sees challenges as opportunities and is a terrific role model for the future of financial advice."
The AFA and TAL Female Excellence in Advice award went to Dawn Thomas of Wealthwise.
Thomas was drawn to financial services because she wanted to empower people to achieve their financial dreams. She is focussed on superannuation and Centrelink maximisation strategies.
"Dawn is a dedicated and passionate professional who works energetically to educate and improve the lives of women in her community. She is another worthy winner of the AFA's Female Excellence in Advice Award," Kewin said.
Finally, the AFA and TAL Excellence in Education award was presented to Ben Nash of Pivot Wealth.
Nash is founder and director of Pivot Wealth and author of the Amazon best-seller 'Get Unstuck: Your Guide to Creating a Life not Limited by Money'.
"Never before have we seen such a focus on education driven by consumer awareness, regulatory reforms and the collective realisation of the importance of education," Kewin said.
"Ben has demonstrated a genuine ongoing commitment to education and professional development as a means of improving his value proposition to his clients and the broader community."
