It was during a family sojourn to the seaside town of Pescara, Italy, Rob DeDominicis first laid eyes on what would become the harbinger of his future. Andrew McKean writes.
There's a good chance the 'Downsizing Concession' will see increased interest in property in regional towns and areas with great healthcare, like Canberra, Bendigo, Geelong, Orange, Armidale, Gold Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong and Port Macquarie. The oldies like to live close to their kids... but it may be the case that the kids who are locked out of the property market will move to regional areas too with house prices the way they are in the East Coast capitals. Happy families and new life in the regions? Could be.... As long as the Internet connection, healthcare and work opportunities are great. Hmmmm.... No traffic snarls, a house and big garden with a workshop/garage... very appealing for some in retirement!
