A self-managed superannuation fund administrator has added a head of data and process to its executive lineup.
Joining Heffron in the newly created role is Jodi Stapleton. Stapleton was most recently senior manager service and information delivery at Newcastle Permanent.
She will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the administrator's overall data strategy.
In explaining the creation of the role, Heffron chief executive Martin Heffron said the digitisation of data is creating many opportunities for organisations with the capability to exploit them on behalf of clients.
"We have excellent technology at Heffron but in order to fully leverage the opportunity, we also need to be excellent at gathering, analysing and providing timely, relevant and actionable information from that data," Heffron said.
Stapleton brings more than 15 years' experience within strategic information management, having held a number of senior leadership roles in Canada.
Commenting on her appointment, Stapleton said she believes it is an exciting time to be joining Heffron given the rapid, ongoing growth of the SMSF industry.
"Data is a critical topic in financial services and there are opportunities being created through technological innovation," she said.
"Addressing how to harness the power of data will be a catalyst for change, enabling Heffron to better support the clients and create operational efficiencies."
