As a mother and grandmother and the benefit of hindsight and life in general, I now know the we cannot have it all. We do sacrifice something when we have children, the career suffers a bit, the children suffer a bit and as women we suffer a bit. We can kid ourselves, use the lingo, put on a side show and act a bit tough and be brave but having it all is a bit of a furphy. When it comes to an end women are still the main parent and we are still a bit disadvantaged in the workplace so it's imperative that you fight hard to get the right financial balance in the divorce settlement to ensure you are financially stable and secure as you age. Ask any 75 year old woman.
