MST Financial broadens services to Alder & PartnersBY KARREN VERGARA | TUESDAY, 14 JUL 2026 12:28PMMST Financial has broadened its services for Alder & Partners Private Wealth Management, providing "institutional-grade investments" across managed accounts, asset allocation and research. MST Investment Solutions, the portfolio advisory and implementation arm of MST Financial, now also offers implementation support and specialist income solutions to the Western Australian financial advisory group Alder & Partners, which caters to high-net-worth individuals, charitable organisations and family offices. Alder & Partners was founded by director and financial adviser David Alder in 2010. "The combination of high-quality multi-asset research, portfolio construction expertise, specialist income capabilities and access to equity and debt capital markets creates a compelling proposition for advisers and clients," Alder said. "Our investment committee will continue to play an active role in governance and oversight across client portfolios, working closely with MST Financial and our internal investment resources as part of our broader investment process." MST Financial head of investment solutions Damian Cilmi said managed accounts are an important part of the solution, but advisers increasingly require support beyond model portfolios. "They are seeking assistance with portfolio construction, manager selection, investment governance, specialist income solutions, investment committees and access to broader investment opportunities," he said. "Our role is to work alongside advisers as an extension of their investment capability. We provide the resources, research and governance support that help advisers deliver better client outcomes while maintaining ownership of the client relationship and broader advice proposition." Cilmi joined MST Financial in early 2026 after spending more than seven years at Praemium as head of investment managers and governance. Last year, MST Financial acquired FIIG Securities' asset management unit from AUSIEX. After acquiring FIIG in May 2025, AUSIEX transferred the former's income managed funds and individually managed account (IMA) portfolio management service to MST Financial for an undisclosed figure. Investment management responsibility of the FIIG Australian Bond Fund and the FIIG Monthly Income Fund were also taken over by MST Financial. Related News |
