VFMC names head of propertyBY STAFF WRITER | THURSDAY, 25 JUN 2026 1:57PMVictorian Funds Management Corporation has promoted Georgina Bishop to head of property, effective October this year. Bishop will transition into the role from Pete King who leaves VFMC later this year. "Delighted and proud to be handing on the baton," said King, who had held the role since 2008. King worked at Knight Frank and Investa Property Group prior to joining VFMC. Bishop, who joined the fund manager in 2023 as senior portfolio manager, will be responsible for managing the organisation's real estate portfolio. She has more than 17 years' experience in the property industry, spanning investment and asset management, transactions, joint venture management, valuations, development, asset stabilisation, and funds and mandate management. Mark Aarons, VFMC head of asset classes, said Bishop has shown strong leadership in the property team and helped steer the fund's portfolio through a complex period. "In addition, she brings extensive industry experience, including roles at ISPT, QIC and JLL." Commenting on her promotion, Bishop said, "It is a privilege to take over this role from King, who over many years has created a successful team focused on investment outcomes and building strong relationships across the industry." VFMC manages more than $97 billion of assets for Victoria and 32 Victorian public authorities and related organisations. Related News |
