Partners Wealth Group unveils new identity for Partners PrivateBY MATTHEW WAI | TUESDAY, 21 APR 2026 12:02PMPartners Wealth Group (PWG) has revitalised its private markets business, Partners Private, with a new identity, as it combines its public and private markets capabilities under a single institutional-grade offering. PWG managing director Mathew Cassidy said the new platform, Anseres Capital, represents a significant change for the firm's investment capabilities. "Anseres Capital is the natural evolution of our investment capability over more than two decades," Cassidy said. "It brings together our public and private market expertise into one cohesive platform, designed to deliver institutional-quality opportunities within a client-first advice model. "As markets become more complex, private markets are playing an increasingly important role in portfolios, but our message to clients remains unchanged - stay focused on fundamentals, including long-term strategy, time horizon and disciplined decision-making." PWG believes the new platform will also accommodate the accelerated demand for alternative investments amid heightened market volatility. Since inception in 2012, under its previous structure, the platform raised more than $900 million across more than 45 investments, displaying a strong track record in sourcing, structuring and managing differentiated opportunities for clients, PWG said. The platform has been built with a clear separation between financial advice and investment decision-making, aligning with global best practice and increasing regulatory expectations across the wealth management sector, the firm explained. Under the new structure, Brett Cairns, former chief executive of Magellan Financial Group, has been appointed chair for the board, alongside non-executive director Jason Coggins, Aura Group's head of investments. The firm said the appointments bring deep institutional experience and governance oversight to the platform. = Cairns said the platform combines specialist agility with institutional standards for investors seeking both access and governance. "Anseres Capital is designed to provide clients with access to high-quality opportunities across both private and public markets, supported by strong governance frameworks and independent oversight," Cairns said. "I am delighted be appointed as chair of Anseres Capital and oversee the significant role I believe the platform will play." Notably, the launch coincides with a period of significant growth for PWG through a combination of acquisitions and strategic partnerships over the past six months. The firm increased its funds under management to more than $5.8 billion while continuing to expand across Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. The firm now employs more than 160 staff and collaborates wit over 300 accounting firms, delivering integrated services across financial advice, investments, superannuation, lending and legal solutions.
