Fidelity wholesale director departs

Fidelity International is hunting for a new head of wholesale sales for its Australian business after the incumbent left.

Andrew Mathie finished up at Fidelity in late August, after two years with the company.

Mathie worked directly with Fidelity managing director for Australia Alva Devoy, focused on the wholesale market and relationships with advisers, boutiques and national dealer groups.

"We thank Andrew for his contribution to Fidelity's wholesale sales team over the last two years and wish him the best for the future," a Fidelity spokesperson said.

"Fidelity International is actively recruiting for the role of head of wholesale sales. Our clients continue to be supported by Fidelity's existing team based in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane."

Mathie joined Fidelity as a director of wholesale sales in August 2017 via Vanguard Investments and Macquarie Group.

At Vanguard, he was a key account manager.

At Macquarie, he started as an associate director and national key account manager in 2007. He then became a division director for banking and financial services, focusing on institutional partnerships.

Prior to this, he was a senior BDM at Asgard and a wraps specialist at BT Financial Group.
