With an ever growing toolkit of ways to reach their target audience, today's marketing, advertising and sales professionals are seeing increasing challenges when deciding how to spend their budgets, considering which prospects have the most potential or evolving new strategies to attract the attention of their target market.

In this evolving space, the best marketing, advertising and sales professionals are able to employ the most suitable tactics to maximise their return on investment.

Now in its 30th year running, the MAX Awards recognises industry excellence in marketing, advertising and sales in financial services. Past winners have gone on to lead organisations, spearhead product innovation and help improve the nation's financial literacy through educational programs geared towards financial advisers and their clients.

The MAX (Marketing, Advertising and Sales Excellence) Awards recognises these leading individuals, teams and organisations in the Australian financial services industry who have achieved excellence in marketing, advertising and sales.

Financial Standard's Investment Leadership Award winners will also be recognised as part of the awards celebrations.

 

AWARD CATEGORIES

Agency Campaign of the Year

Agency Campaign of the Year recognised the ways in which agency-led wealth management marketing has demonstrated insight, innovation and forward thinking - changing the way the marketplace thinks about traditional media within this space. We will be seeking submissions recognising Agencies who have planned campaigns that have delivered outstanding results for their clients and raised the standards in wealth management marketing and advertising.

Agency Executive of the Year

This award is for the individual who has represented their agency with distinction and has achieved the best results for their clients.

Agency of the Year Financial Services

The Agency of the Year Award is for the organisation that has best represented its financial services client in order to meet their marketing and advertising needs.

Community Initiative of the Year

This award acknowledges a campaign or initiative that set out to change the behaviour or affect the thinking of their customers or prospective customers. This campaign has achieved the most significant social change.

Creative Agency of the Year

This award is for the creative agency that has best worked with its clients to plan and implement a creative campaign that has achieved the campaign objectives.

Digital Campaign of the Year

Digital Campaign of the Year recognises an organisation that has been able to best work with a publisher to create a unique online asset that has yielded outstanding results.

Distribution Team of the Year

This award identifies the distribution team who have collectively generated the greatest improvements to their organisation's business development and distribution.

Executive of the Year - Distribution

This award identifies the best sales professional working for an investment management firm in a distribution or business development capacity.

Executive of the Year - Marketing

This award honours an outstanding marketing manager who has served with dedication, distinction, leadership and innovation, resulting in increased brand awareness and sales growth for their organisation

Financial Education Campaign of the Year

This award acknowledges a campaign that has improved the financial literacy of its intended audience. The campaign promotes ongoing education geared towards wealth management.

Integrated Campaign of the Year

This award is for the most effective cross-platform marketing campaign with above and below the line elements designed from the outset.

Marketing Campaign of the Year - Consumer

This award is given to the campaign that utilises all marketing channels to best fulfil and exceed their campaign objectives over the past year in order to influence the purchasing habits of their target consumer audiences.

Marketing Campaign of the Year - Industry

This award is given to the campaign that utilises all marketing channels to best fulfil and exceed their B2B campaign objectives over the past year in order to generate a return on investment.

Marketing Team of the Year

This award recognises an outstanding marketing team who has worked together in order to generate increased brand awareness and sales growth for their organisation.

Podcast of the Year

This award recognises an outstanding podcast that has delivered invaluable yet engaging content to its listeners throughout the year.

Print Campaign of the Year - Consumer

This award is given to the campaign that utilises print advertising mediums to best fulfil and exceed their campaign objectives over the past year in order to generate a return on investment within the consumer media space.

Print Campaign of the Year - Trade

This award is given to the campaign that utilises print advertising mediums to best fulfil and exceed their campaign objectives over the past year in order to generate a return on investment within the trade media space.

Public Relation Agency of the Year

The Agency of the Year Award is for the organisation that has best represented its financial services clients in order to meet their public relations and consumer engagement needs.

Rising Star of the Year - Distribution

This award identifies the best young sales professional working for an investment management firm in a distribution or business development capacity.

Social Media Campaign of the Year

This award is for marketing campaigns conducted via social media channels that achieve increased views and following in the specific channel, whilst also improving brand recognition, website impressions and lead generation.

Video Campaign of the Year

This category is for best and most effective brand communication through the use of video, which can be displayed across mediums such as television, websites, social media and digital advertising.

Website of the Year

This award is for the website that delivers the most outstanding innovation, content, interactivity and whose design results in valuable user experience and captures the greatest return on investment.

NOMINATE

The MAX (Marketing, Advertising and Sales Excellence) Awards recognises leading individuals, teams and organisations in the Australian financial services industry who have achieved excellence in marketing, advertising and sales.

Winners are awarded across 22 categories for their creative, innovative and effective marketing and sales campaigns that delivered increased engagement and ROI over the past year, between April 2023 and March 2024.

You can put yourself, your colleague, your peer and your organisation forward in as many as categories as you wish but only voting the same nominee once under the same category.
