AMP North appoints head of strategic growthBY RIDDHIMA TALWANI | MONDAY, 24 AUG 2026 12:20PM![]() AMP North has appointed Emma Kirk as head of strategic growth, marking her return to the financial services giant after two decades. Kirk previously spent 10 years with the group, holding roles within AMP Financial Planning and AMP Adviser Services before departing in 2006. Kirk will lead strategic sales and partnership across North, MyNorth Lifetime, MyNorth Guarantee, Managed Portfolios, and the AMP Managed Funds, with a focus on deepening relationships with advice licensees and strategic partners. Kirk brings more than 30 years of experience across the wealth management value chain, spanning platforms, superannuation, funds management and financial advice. Most recently, she has served as regional director of stockbroking and private wealth at Dimensional Fund Advisors, where she was responsible for growing relationships across stockbroking and private wealth firms nationally. Prior to Dimensional, Kirk spent six years at Magellan Financial Group in a senior distribution role covering stockbrokers, share-trading platforms and self-directed investors. AMP group executive for platforms Edwina Maloney said the appointment showed North's commitment to partnering with advisers. "Emma joins North at an exciting time as adviser demand for high-quality platform, retirement and managed portfolio solutions continues to grow," Maloney said. "Importantly, Emma knows AMP well, having started her career here. Returning with the breadth of experience she has gained across advice, platforms, investments and superannuation makes her exceptionally well placed to help drive the next phase of North's growth." AMP director of growth and wealth distribution Kris Goodwin said North continues to strengthen its senior distribution ranks and invest in capability to support advisers and licensees across the country and Kirk's appointment an important part of that strategy. "Emma is one of the most respected distribution leaders in Australian wealth management, with deep experience across platforms, advice, investments and superannuation," Goodwin said. "She brings a powerful combination of strategic relationship management, commercial acumen and a genuine understanding of what advice businesses need to grow and deliver better client outcomes. Her deep licensee relationships and extensive experience across the wealth management landscape will play a critical role as we continue to grow North and deliver on our strategic growth ambitions."
