Three advisers cop ASIC bans

ASIC has banned three financial advisers for up to five years each, in separate banning orders made recently.

Wendy Michelle Chapman was banned for five years from providing any financial services.

She was most recently employed as a senior planner at Barossa-based Key Financial Planners, until September end when her licence ceased.

Prior to this, she spent seven years at National Australia Bank, according to ASIC's Financial Adviser Register.

In an order made on November 8, ASIC banned Peter Jianchao Xu, who was most recently employed at Neo Wealth Solutions until October end.

He has previously worked at Commonwealth Financial Planning and Westpac.

The ban runs until November 2024.

Lastly, ASIC banned Lawrence Dean O'Neill for four years.  He spent 10 years at NAB's Godfrey Prembroke until 2013 when he moved to Sentry Group's Wealthsure Financial Services.

All banning orders were made under sections 920A and 920B of Corporations Act.
