Merricks Capital operating chief joins PC firmBY MATTHEW WAI | FRIDAY, 23 OCT 2026 12:02PMFormer Merricks Capital chief operating officer has joined a specialised private credit firm after overseeing Merricks Capital's financial and operational businesses for the past six years. Sandra Chui has joined Privity Credit in the same position this month, bringing two decades of executive, financial and operational leadership across the investment management, regulated markets, and corporate services sectors. Privity Credit noted Chui's experience spans funds management, investment operations, governance, risk and compliance, institutional investor readiness, operational due diligence, service-provider oversight and the development of scalable operating models. Most recently, Chui led the business integration, product execution and operating-platform maturity as chief operating officer at Merricks Capital. She initially joined the firm as chief financial officer in November 2020 but transitioned into an operative role in July 2024, coinciding with the acquisition from Regal Partners for approximately $235 million. Before her departure, Chui also assisted with Regal Partners' credit and royalties programs for a short period of time. Merricks Capital is a wholly owned subsidiary of Regal Partners. Prior to Merricks Capital, Chui served in financial leadership roles at different sectors, including IntoWork Australia and Australian Energy Market Operator. She also served as the chair of finance on several committees, such as Leadership Victoria and Glen Education previously. In her new role, Chui will oversee strategic decision, commercial discipline and operation needed to strengthen the firm's growth trajectory, Privity Credit said. "She will help align strategy with execution, enhance governance and operational resilience, and ensure our people, processes and partners continue to deliver with confidence for investors," the firm said. Merricks Capital did not respond to Financial Standard's enquiry. Related News |
