Iress hires wealth tech expertsBY ELIZABETH FRY | THURSDAY, 13 MAR 2025 2:06PMIress, the financial services software and data firm, has made two hires to its Asia Pacific wealth team. Callum Masson and Martin Johnson have been appointed executive general manager of product and technology and general manager of technology respectively. In the newly created role, Masson will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy and delivery of Iress' APAC wealth product portfolio and technology infrastructure. For his part, Johnson will be accountable for the delivery and management of the technology products, systems and services of for the wealth business. Masson has over 24 years' experience in financial services and project delivery in Australia and the United Kingdom. He has held multiple senior management roles, most recently as chief technology officer at Team Super, formerly Mine Super. As for Johnson, he has over 20 years' experience in the technology industry, including at Computershare and SEEK. Most recently, he was the head of engineering at Xero, where he developed mobile solutions that support small businesses to manage their finances. Iress' chief executive of wealth APAC Kelli Willmer welcomed the duo to the firm. "They both have extensive global leadership experience in product engineering and software architecture, with impressive track records in delivering innovative and scalable technology solutions," she said. "Callum and Martin will play a key role in aligning and evolving Iress' product and technology capabilities as we continue to focus on driving growth in our core wealth management business and delivering exceptional value to our clients through world-class advice technology." Last month Iress added the former head of Count Financial to a newly created executive general manager position in its wealth business.
