GSFM hires Macquarie exec

Grant Samuel Funds Management has appointed a new compliance officer.

Stuart Osborne joins GSFM from Macquarie, where he held multiple positions since 2002, including compliance and op risk executive, credit analyst, operational risk manager, and associate director of the compliance team.

Osborne's appointment follows GSFM hiring a new head of institutional business, Charles Levinge, and a head of retail distribution, Stephen Fletcher, in March.

Grant Samuel head of distribution Damien McIntyre said at the time that these appointments "will ensure GSFM maintains a dedicated focus of senior staff on servicing clients in the institutional and the retail space."

"In line with our business growth goals, GSFM now has funds under management in Australia of $6.4 billion, made up of $4 billion from institutional clients and $2.4 billion from retail clients, and we are on track to expand on this during 2017," McIntyre said.
