FSC adds to board

The Financial Services Council has welcomed a new board director. BT Financial Group general manager of platforms, investments and operations Kathy Vincent has joined the industry body's board.

The FSC said Vincent's experience as a financial services manager and extensive product knowledge in co-investment and unlisted equity transactions, asset management and managed funds means she is well placed to fulfil the role.

Vincent has worked in financial services for 25 years.

Prior to her time at BTFG, Vincent was general manager of retail platforms for National Australia Bank and head of product - retail investment platforms at MLC.

Earlier in her career, she spent over 18 years at Macquarie Group.

Vincent worked her way up to co-head of real alternatives at Macquarie, having commenced in an associate director role.

FSC chair Geoff Lloyd welcomed Vincent to the board, saying she promises to be a valuable edition.

"Kathy has demonstrated ability in product solutions, portfolio strategies and marketing initiatives and these skills are highly regarded by the FSC board," Lloyd said.

In April, some big names in wealth management joined the FSC board.

AMP chief executive, wealth management Alex Wade joined the board along with Challenger chief financial officer Andrew Tobin and chief executive officer of NewCo at the Commonwealth Bank Jason Yetton.
