Fitzpatricks appoints new chiefBY KARREN VERGARA | WEDNESDAY, 4 SEP 2024 12:41PMFitzpatricks Financial Group named a new chief executive to replace Jodie Blackledge. Andrew Fairweather is the new leader of the wealth group, commencing in the role on August 14. Blackledge stepped down after four years in the top job and a total of six years with the group. She started out at Fitzpatricks as chief financial officer and chief operating officer. She was previously chief financial officer at ASX-listed AUB Group and The Trust Company, which was acquired by Perpetual in December 2013. Blackledge also held strategy roles with AMP and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. "I commend Jodie for her strong leadership, which has helped bring the group to where it is today - a destination brand for quality, client-centric advisers, their customers, their teams and their clients," Fairweather said. Fairweather was the chief executive and founder of Wildflower Capital and the managing director of Cottesloe Consulting Group. He was the director of retail distribution at Pinnacle Investment Management for less than a year and prior to that was the founding partner and managing director of Winston Capital Partners. "Having worked with the [Fitzpatricks] group in a consulting capacity since March 2024, I look forward to diving in further over the coming months and working closely with everyone to drive our shared vision forward," Fairweather said. "I look forward to building on Jodie's legacy to continue the group's positive growth momentum as we advance our shared vision for Fitzpatricks Private Wealth and Atrium Investment Management to deliver value that enriches the lives of our Australian clients."
