ESSS Super names CEO

The board of ESSS Super has announced its new CEO following Robbie Ocampo's departure in August.

The board president of ESSSuper, Pam Rebecca, has appointed Moana Weir as the new head of ESSSuper. Weir has been acting in the position since the departure of Robbie Campo on 21 August and was previously the fund's group executive in legal, governance, risk and compliance.

Rebecca said Weir was a standout candidate from a highly competitive recruitment field.

"Moana's skills, experience and leadership are exactly what we were looking for to take our organisation forward.

"We are on an ambitious transformation journey, and Moana brings extensive experience in transformation across multiple roles in a number of industries including financial services for members, as well as experience working in technology companies. Those experiences are vital as we deliver large-scale projects underpinning our enhancement of retirement outcomes for our members."

Since taking on the Acting CEO position, Weir has overseen a successful platform transition working together with our external administrator and its technology provider, said Rebecca.

On her appointment, Weir said she is looking forward to leading an organisation dedicated to supporting a dignified and secure retirement for Victoria's most critical workers, into its next phase.

"At ESSSuper, we have a special purpose to provide excellent retirement outcomes for our members who have dedicated their lives to providing essential services to our community, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics, teachers and support workers. We consider this to be a great privilege."
