Acenda Life launches investment bond

Acenda Life has launched an Investment Growth Bond and enhanced its Fixed Term Annuity, broadening its investment offering.

The new investment bond is designed for long-term wealth accumulation and transfer, with potential applications including education funding, estate planning and supporting future generations.

Acenda said earnings within the bond are taxed at a maximum rate of 30%, offering an alternative to investing through superannuation for customers seeking a tax-effective structure outside the retirement system.

Acenda Life product officer Dean Mulheron said the launch responded to demand for accessible investment solutions that offered flexibility across different financial goals.

"Australians are looking for investment options that are easy to understand and use," Mulheron said.

"The Acenda Life Investment Growth Bond offers a simple and tax-effective way to invest over the long-term, whether that means building wealth, supporting family or planning how wealth is passed on to the next generation."

The launch comes alongside enhancements to the insurers Fixed Term Annuity, including the features intended to simplify the experience for advisers and provide greater flexibility for customers seeking predictable returns.

Mulheron said the two products were designed to help advisers and clients balance growth opportunities with greater certainty within an investment portfolio.

"Together, these solutions provide advisers and their clients with more options to balance growth, flexibility and certainty within their investment portfolio," he said.

The product developments follow broader changes at the group as it continues to shape its Australian wealth, insurance and retirement businesses.

This follows Acenda Life's most recent appointment of Ross Miller as chief commercial officer, overseeing its Australian commercial teams across insurance, wealth and retirement solutions. Miller joined the group in February after more than 25 years at Westpac Group, where he held leadership roles in distribution and channel delivery.
