DWS sales director departs

The global manager has confirmed its director of sales, asset management will leave the business.

Alex Francois, director of sales, asset management for Australia and New Zealand at DWS will leave the role after almost two years, a spokesperson has confirmed.

"Alex Francois is leaving DWS to pursue other opportunities, we wish him well," the spokesperson said.

"A replacement will be announced in the near future."

Francois stepped into the role in December 2017, returning to then-Deutsche Asset Management after 17 years elsewhere. From March 1998 to May 2000 Francois served as Deutsche AM's head of client relationships in the region.

Prior to rejoining DWS, he led William Blair's institutional sales in Australia and New Zealand for more than five years.

Francois has more than 25 years' experience in financial services, having also previously held leadership roles with Provident Capital, Principal Global Investors and Schroders.
