An insurance broker who stole from clients has been permanently banned from providing financial services.
Brody Glenn Jarman of Yarrawonga, Victoria, was struck off by ASIC after an investigation found he had misappropriated $3,133.36 in client funds.
In February 2016, Jarman pleaded guilty in Cobram Magistrates Court to seven counts of theft.
The thefts occurred between 2012 and 2015 while Jarman was insurance manager at Albury Insurances.
ASIC determined Jarman had failed to comply with financial services law, saying he is likely to contravene the law again in future.
The regulator also decided that Jarman is not of good fame or character.
Jarman has the right to have his ban reviewed by way of an appeal to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
