WTW names head of real assets

Grace Szeto has been appointed head of real assets within WTW's manager research team.

Szeto has covered real assets since she joined the consultant four years ago.

Her promotion follows the departure of Nick Kelly, who recently joined Wilson Asset Management as the portfolio manager for the alternative assets fund.

Although Kelly held several titles at the global consultant - including senior strategist and head of growth for the Australian investment team - he also led real assets research.

Szeto has served as associate director at WTW for over three years.

Before that, she held various roles at Christian Super, most recently as investment and operations manager.

During her seven years with the faith-based super fund, she headed up the property and private equity portfolios and played a role in portfolio construction, manager selection across both listed and unlisted asset classes and issued research recommendations to support the super fund's strategy.

Szeto also checked that strategic decisions were implemented efficiently and managed external service provider relationships.

She began her career as a reporting/resourcing analyst at KPMG.
