Royal London AM hunts for next chiefBY MATTHEW WAI | MONDAY, 7 SEP 2026 12:16PMRoyal London is now searching for a new chief executive for its asset management business as Hans Georgeson steps down from the role after five years. In the meantime, Royal London group chief financial officer Daniel Cazeaux will fill the role on an interim basis, the firm said. Since 2020, Cazeaux has been involved in Royal London Asset Management's strategy and in the development of its private markets ambitions, including the acquisition of Dalmore Capital, a UK-based infrastructure investment manager. He will also join the boards of Royal London Unit Managers and Royal London Unit Trust Managers while remaining on the Royal London Mutual Insurance Society board. Royal London group chief executive Barry O'Dwyer said Cazeaux will provide continuity and stability until a permanent successor is appointed. "Dan is an excellent interim appointment. He combines deep financial services expertise with a strong understanding of Royal London, Royal London Asset Management and the strategic priorities shaping the business," O'Dwyer said. "This means he is well placed to support Royal London Asset Management through this period and maintain our focus on delivering for clients." Cazeaux said: "Royal London Asset Management is a business with strong momentum, a clear strategy and a highly capable leadership team." "I have worked closely with Hans over recent years and have seen first-hand the strength of Royal London Asset Management's investment capabilities, client focus and long-term ambition. I look forward to working with colleagues to maintain that momentum, continue delivering for clients and support the next stage of the business's growth." Royal London Asset Management has £212 billion of assets under management. O'Dwyer also thanked Georgeson for his contributions. "I would like to thank Hans for his significant contribution over the past five years," he said. "Under his leadership, Royal London Asset Management has grown strongly, broadened its investment capabilities and strengthened its position as a leading UK asset manager. "We wish him continued success in his next role." The business launched four active strategies in Australia late last year, including an inaugural local fixed income fund, marking its debut of active products in the country since entering the market in 2017. SS&C was recently appointed the fund administrator and unit registry services provider for those strategies. Related News |
