Quinbrook appoints Australian leadBY VINNY VUCAGO | FRIDAY, 12 JUN 2026 12:21PMEnergy transition infrastructure investor Quinbrook has appointed Tim Horneman as region leader for Australia, formalising his responsibility for the firm's local investment activities and business operations. The appointment strengthens Quinbrook's global leadership structure established following the appointment of chief executive Brian Restall in June 2025, as the firm continues to expand across key energy transition markets. Horneman joined Quinbrook as managing director in February this year and has since overseen the Australian business, helping advance the firm's development and investment pipeline across the domestic market. He brings more than two decades of experience in large scale energy and infrastructure investments, including senior roles as Origin Energy and as chief financial officer and deputy chief executive of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG), a $25 billion natural gas project. Restall said the promotion completes the leadership framework introduced following the creation of the chief executive role last year. "When I was appointed chief executive, we outlined a leadership structure designed to empower exceptional leaders in each of our core markets while strengthening collaboration across our global business," he said. "Tim's appointment as regional leader for Australia completes that structure and marks an important milestone in Quinbrook's evolution as a founder-guided, chief executive-led firm," Restall said. He noted Horneman has already strengthened Quinbrook's position in a market that remains central to the firm's long-term growth ambitions. "Since joining Quinbrook earlier this year, Tim has demonstrated outstanding leadership of our Australian business and has further strengthened our presence in a market that is central to Quinbrook's past and future success," Restall said. Horneman said Australia continues to offer significant opportunities for investors as the energy transition accelerates. "Australia remains one of the world's most attractive and important energy transition markets, with significant opportunities driven by industrialisation, electrification and digitalisation," he said. "Quinbrook has established itself as a leading specialist investor in energy transition infrastructure in its core markets, with a strong track record of developing and delivering high quality projects," Horneman said. Quinbrook focuses exclusively on infrastructure supporting the global energy transition, with operations spanning Australia, North America and the United Kingdom. Related News |
