Perpetual has confirmed the appointment of a head of risk, promoting from within to fill the newly created role.
The investment house has promoted Allan Lo Proto to the new role of head of risk, a spokesperson has confirmed.
Proto first joined Perpetual as senior manager, internal audit in 2010 and took on the lead internal audit role in 2016.
He has also held senior audit roles with ING and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In the new role Proto will report directly to Perpetual chief risk officer Sam Mosse.
Mosse joined the firm in February from Janus Henderson where she was head of pan-Asia risk and compliance and interim global head of enterprise risk.
Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years at Macquarie in a variety of roles including head of compliance and operational risk for the investment banking business, financial products and head of middle office for Macquarie Funds Group.
