BT has launched My Wellbeing Rewards and Portal for life insurance clients, giving them access to discounts and an online hub focussed on health and wellbeing.
The My Wellbeing Portal will give clients access to articles on health and wellbeing, personalised wellness assessments, nutritional recipes and wellbeing challenges.
Additionally, the portal includes access to BT's rewards program, offering deals and discounts on a range of products like entertainment and travel.
The My Wellbeing Rewards initiative will allow new and existing clients to get a 10% discount on Protection Plans Term Life policy premiums. BT is also waiving the policy fee for all Term Life policies.
The offers are subject to certain age and health criteria and will apply for the life of the policy.
BT's head of product, life insurance Sean Boner said: "For many people, the key areas that underpin wellness are intertwined: mind, body, work, life and finance."
"We hope the My Wellbeing Rewards and Portal resonate with clients and help them maintain a healthy lifestyle."
BT also announced updates to product disclosure statements for Protection Plans.
The Child Support Benefit expiry age date has been extended from 16 to 18. Meanwhile, the cancer definition has been updated and a single episode of confirmed neurological deficit will now allow clients to claim under the multiple sclerosis condition.
In addition, BT said it is reducing premium rates for Needlestick Benefit policies, tailored for clients who work as medical professionals. This will provide cover is they are diagnosed with occupationally acquired HIV or Hepatitis B or C.
Boner said: "At BT we review our product and policy terms annually, over and above what is required under current regulations, to ensure that product and policy terms remain clear, accurate and easy to understand."
