New executive role at Colonial First State

Colonial First State has created a new C-suite role, and has confirmed an interim replacement for Peter Chun who joined an industry fund earlier this week.

Todd Stevenson has been appointed CFS's chief member outcomes officer, after nine years with the company.

He was most recently CFS's general manager, customer and marketing.

"He will focus on influencing member outcomes across Colonial First State and drive member centric initiatives. In addition Todd will be responsible for digital, the CFS data office and data strategy, and our human-centred design capability," a CFS spokesperson said.

He will retain the responsibility for customers, but marketing responsibilities will go to Kelly Power, who left BT's head of platforms role in 2017 to join CFS.

Power is retaining her current role of general manager, product but picking up additional duties.

Last week, CFS's general manager, distribution Peter Chun moved to $100 billion industry fund First State Super.

CFS announced an interim general manager has been appointed while the company seeks a permanent replacement.

"Gideon Lipman will act as general manager, strategy and transformation while we conduct a search for a permanent replacement," the spokesperson said.

CFS is also yet to appoint a replacement for Linda Elkins who left as the executive general manager in July for Paul Howes's old role at KPMG.

Chun and Power acted as joint executive general managers previously but the responsibilities went to CFS's chief operating officer Michael Venter.

Venter remains the acting executive general managers while CFS looks for a permanent replacement to Elkins' role, the company confirmed.
