It will be interesting to see whether any politician from any party or independent or any media outlet or reporter tries to swing this conviction toward debate around legislation governing Financial Planners.
My guess is that someone, somewhere will try and get mileage out of this in order to inflict further damage, even though neither of these people were governed by FOFA or Best Interest Duty or anything else.
It will be interesting to see whether any reports refer to the NAB trader/stockbroker as a Financial Adviser!.......my guess is they will try and use a "generic term" to label.
