Rainmaker Information has announced the appointment of an editor-at-large for Money magazine.
Author and finance writer Julia Newbould has joined the Money team in the newly-created role of editor-at-large.
Bringing more than 20 years' finance journalism experience, Newbould was most recently in marketing and communications at BT Financial Group where she founded the Stella Network, connecting women in financial advice.
She is a former managing editor of Morningstar Australia; former editor of Financial Planning and Super Review magazines at Reed Business Information; and has previously served as managing editor of InvestorInfo.
Commenting on her new role, Newbould said: "I believe passionately in helping those who are keen to help themselves. We're not all born equal and do not have the same opportunities in life, but through education we can make up for some of the initial inequality and this is where I believe magazines like Money can play an important role."
"I'm really thrilled to be joining such a passionate and talented team who are all focused on delivering independent and insightful finance articles to their readers, on in print and online."
Money magazine editor-in-chief Michelle Baltazar said she is delighted to have Newbould joining the team.
"Her experience, knowledge and passion for empowering investors is perfectly suited to the magazine's mission of helping more Australians become financially savvy," Baltazar said.
"We look forward to working with her."
Rainmaker acquired Money magazine from Bauer Media in March this year.
