Macquarie IM names APAC operations lead

The former head of investment operations at Suncorp has taken on a leadership role at Macquarie Investment Management.

A spokesperson for Macquarie has confirmed Caroline Marull is now chief operating officer, Asia Pacific for Macquarie Investment Management.

Marull wrapped up her most recent post as head of investment operations and control at Suncorp in February.

In addition to Suncorp, Marull has previously served as group head of fund administration at BNP Paribas and previously held the role of deputy head of operations.

In a statement to Financial Standard, Suncorp confirmed the appointment of Robert Raffo as head of investment operations and control.

It's a promotion for Raffo, who was previously executive manager, investment risk and reporting.

He has been with Suncorp for 12 years, holding several senior roles in investment operations.

"Robert's appointment is a testament to the talent that we have within Suncorp," Suncorp chief financial officer of corporate services Stephen Burton said.

"He has been a key member of the investment operations team for over 12 years, and will provide great leadership to drive the strategy for group investments in his new role."
