Chi-X has snapped up IRESS's head of institutional and online trading services as it builds its team.
Adrian Fyffe was appointed to the role of business development executive at Chi-X just before the holidays.
He has over 10 years of experience in business and product development within financial services.
His previous roles have included BTFG/Westpac Online Investing's product development manager and First Prudential Markets' responsible manager and product development manager.
Chi-X Australia chief executive Vic Jokovic said "Mr Fyffe's appointment was a strategic move given the firm's various innovations and developments in the pipeline."
"Adrian's technical knowledge of financial services product development and experience in driving product awareness makes him a valuable addition to the team and we are pleased to welcome him to Chi-X Australia," Jokovic said.
Last year, Chi-X opened up Aussie investors access to international tech stock Apple in partnership with Deutsche Bank through a new security.
Deutsche Bank issued a security called transferable custody receipts (TraCRs) to invest in overseas stocks with local trading on Chi-X Australia.
