Invesco APAC head to retireBY VINNY VUCAGO | TUESDAY, 1 SEP 2026 12:13PMInvesco Asia Pacific chief Andrew Lo will retire from the global asset manager next March after 32 years with the firm, closing out more than three decades spent building its presence and partnerships across the region. Marty Franc will succeed Lo as senior managing director and head of APAC, transitioning into the role during the first quarter of 2027. Franc will remain based in Hong Kong and brings more than 20 years of asset management experience, including 13 years at Invesco. Lo will retire on 31 March 2027 before serving as chair emeritus, APAC. He will continue to represent Invesco on the boards of its China and India joint ventures and provide strategic counsel to the firm's regional and global leadership. During his tenure, Lo helped establish Invesco as a significant investment manager in APAC, including through the development of is China and India joint ventures, which the firm said have become important contributors to its broader global franchise. Invesco president and chief executive Andrew Schlossberg said Lo's legacy extended beyond the business itself. "Andrew's legacy is measured not only by the business he helped build, but by the people he developed, the relationships he nurtured, and the trust he earned throughout the region and across our firm," Schlossberg said. Franc has held senior responsibilities across Invesco's Asian operations, including Australia, greater China, Southeast Asia and the firm's institutional client strategy. Before joining Invesco, he held a range of leadership positions across the asset management industry. "Marty brings a powerful combination of regional expertise, client focus, strategic leadership, and deep knowledge of Invesco's culture and business," Schlossberg said. Lo and Franc will work together over coming months to manage the transition for clients, employees, partners and other stakeholders. Lo's continued involvement with Invesco's Asian joint ventures will also provide continuity as Franc takes responsibility for the firm's next phase of regional growth. Related News |
