The Financial Services Council is currently undergoing an internal restructure and is bolstering its policy team.
A spokesperson for the FSC said: "Like most organisations the FSC reviews its structure from time to time to strengthen operational efficiencies."
Financial Standard understands this restructure does not involve the board.
"We have had a small internal restructure and are currently in the process of adding to the policy team," the spokesperson said.

The FSC policy team currently includes Bianca Richardson who is senior policy manager, investments, global markets, superannuation along with Michael Potter in the role of senior policy manager, economics and tax.
Nick Kirwan is in the role of policy manager, life insurance and Jane Macnamara is the senior policy manager for superannuation and retirement incomes.
Zach Castles is policy manager for advice and Vincent So is policy manager for investments and global markets.
The FSC has not yet clarified how many more policy professionals will be added to the team.
News of the restructure comes after AllianceBernstein chief executive Jen Driscoll was added to the FSC board.
