Former Rugby Australia coaching director, Rod Kafer, has hung up the boots for a new role at Invast Global.
Kafer has been appointed director, Prime Services for the disruptor investment bank.
Prior to working at Rugby Australia Kafer worked as a proprietary trader and has a history in finance.
"I've loved my time in rugby, it's such a wonderful thing to be involved with...at the end of it, I didn't actually feel like I could make too big a different there," he told the Australian Financial Review.

Kafer said he is excited to embark down new pathways, adding that for professional athletes career changes are inevitable.
"One of the greatest pieces of advice when I was finishing my career, and it stuck with me ever since, was 'don't let this sporting career be the highlight of your life, because you could end up being disappointed for the rest of your life, and never be able to achieve the highs of perhaps what you did'," he said.
Kafer is currently also a commentator for Fox Sports, is the former managing director of EziConnect and was co-founder of Totalcom Corp, a telecommunications provider which was sold to Buroserv in 2014.
His new role involves selling Invast Global's services into hedge funds.
