NAB has hired a former ANZ general manager in a bid to boost customer experience in its business banking division.
The bank has appointed Tania Motton to the newly created role of customer executive NAB Partners - Southern, with Motton reporting to the chief customer officer of the bank's business and private banking arm, Anthony Healy.
The appointment will see Motton lead a team of bankers across NAB's business, specialised banking and NAB Private divisions, covering Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
Motton most recently served as general manager of ANZ's Australian business banking division, and was previously chief of staff to ANZ's former chief executive Mike Smith.
Highlighting Motton's understanding of business banking, Healy said her appointment was designed to ensure NAB delivered on its customer service goals.
"We have a clear strategy to back Australian businesses and support the Australian economy. Tania's leadership strengths and deep understanding of business banking will ensure we continue to deliver a great customer experience," Healy said.
In a LinkedIn post confirming her appointment, Motton said she was delighted to be joining the business and private banking team at NAB, and was excited to be part of a team focused on supporting the growth of Australian businesses.
Earlier this year the bank's financial planning arm appointed a new regional advice general manager covering similar geographical areas as Motton.
Adrain De Silva joined NAB Financial Planning in January as general manager for South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
