An independent wealth management consultant appointed a former AMEX director and TAL business transformation manager to lead its Sydney office.
Wendy Colaco joined QMV as the firm's new principal consultant to lead the Sydney office and provide senior consulting services.
Most recently Colaco was head of people and culture consulting at workplace outfitter Amicus, having earlier worked at FINEOS as principal presale consultant and ING as a senior business analyst.
QMV managing director Mark Vaughan said the appointment of Colaco was crucial to the business' expansion into insurance and banking.
"Wendy has worked in a diverse range of roles across Australia and abroad and has extensive leadership, insurance and management consulting experience. Her breadth and depth of experience make her a good fit for the QMV team," Vaughan said.
"In this role Wendy will help drive the growth of the QMV business into the Sydney market, and will help with the expansion of the businesses focus to include the insurance and banking industries."
Separately, in a recent white paper co-written with Desiree Lucchese, QMV principal consultant, legal and risk Jonathan Steffanoni discussed increasing calls for asset owning fiduciaries to integrate greater consideration for extra-financial information to address macro-economic risks such as natural resources scarcity.
