Five V taps Barrenjoey finance leadBY MATTHEW WAI | WEDNESDAY, 9 SEP 2026 12:29PM![]() Five V Capital has named its chief financial officer, who most recently served as the head of finance for private markets and regulations at Barrenjoey. Keith Veitch has commenced in the role at the boutique investment firm, bringing 25 years of experience in financial services with deep expertise in partnering with advisory and financial markets businesses, the firm said. Veitch was a founding employee at Barrenjoey and served as head of finance looking after its equities, regulation and corporate finance businesses for over six years, where he was a key contributor in the design and build out of the finance function. He began his career at PwC working in the audit and assurance practice across both the UK and Canada between 2000 and 2003, before joining Deutsche Bank where he spent over 13 years in various leadership roles, including co-head of business finance for Deutsche Bank Australia, financial director, and more. The announcement follows the appointment of a new chief people officer in July to drive sustainable business growth. Five V Capital was established by founder Adrian Mackenzie in 2013, headquartered in Darlinghurst, New South Wales, with additional presence in New Zealand. The firm invests in growing private companies across different industries within its portfolio, including hospitality, technology, renewable energy and more. Meanwhile, Veitch's departure follows Barrenjoey's merger with Magellan Financial Group that was greenlit by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) in June. The deal, which has an implied valuation of $1.6 billion, was finalised in the following month after Magellan shareholders approved the takeover in April. Magellan was a founding investor in Barrenjoey back in 2020. Related News |
