Five V Capital welcomes new C-suite appointment

The Sydney-based boutique investment manager focussing on venture capital and private equity has welcomed a new member to its executive line up.

Larissa Reyes has joined Five V Capital as chief people officer, brining over two decades of experience in people and culture from Australia and the UK.

She joined the company from LVP, a suitability alternative manager also based in Sydney, where she was the people and culture lead for a year after returning from London.

Across 18 years in the UK, she held similar director roles including head of human resources (HR) at Genesis Investment Management between 2014 and 2015, followed by a 10-year stint at Vitruvian Partners as its HR director, where she was instrumental in supporting the firm's growth and built organisational capability to enable high performance.

Earlier in her career, she stationed at Permira, 3i Group plc, IBM, and Microsoft, gaining experience across both private equity and global technology organisations, Five V Capital said.

In her new role, Reyes will be working closely with executive teams to drive strategic workforce outcomes and support sustainable business growth.

She is positioned in the firm's business development team, joined by chief operating officer Karen Bell and head of ESG Giulia McFarlane.

Five V Capital was established by founder Adrian Mackenzie in 2013, headquartered in Darlinghurst, NSW, with additional presence in New Zealand. The firm invests in growing private companies across different industries within its portfolio, including hospitality, technology, renewable energy, and more.
