First Sentier lists active ETFBY ELIZA BAVIN | THURSDAY, 15 OCT 2026 10:31AMFirst Sentier Investors has listed the First Sentier Global Listed Infrastructure Fund (Hedged) Active ETF (ASX: PWER), now available to Australian advisers and investors. First Sentier said PWER invests in a portfolio of high-quality global infrastructure companies that own or operate the essential assets that communities rely on. These include airports, toll roads, railways, utilities, waste management, energy and digital infrastructure. The fund aims to deliver inflation-protected income and steady capital growth over the long term through a globally diversified portfolio of infrastructure securities. PWER is managed by First Sentier Investors' Global Listed Infrastructure team. First Sentier Investors head of global listed infrastructure Peter Meany said infrastructure remains a compelling asset class. "These assets can offer inflation-resilient revenues and relatively stable cash flows, while providing exposure to long-term structural growth themes including electrification, decarbonisation, and digital connectivity. In addition, significant investment in ageing infrastructure networks is expected to support growth in the sector," Meany said. "As infrastructure continues to play a key role in supporting economic growth and enabling the energy transition, we see a broad range of opportunities across traditional and emerging infrastructure sectors globally. We believe these assets can play a valuable role in a broader portfolio, offering the potential for long-term capital growth and inflation-linked income." Meany added active management is particularly important in infrastructure investing, where company fundamentals, valuations and regulation can vary significantly across markets and sectors. "Our focus is on identifying high-quality and mispriced businesses, selectively capturing opportunities that may not be reflected in passive approaches," he said. The listing is part of a suite of ETFs available from First Sentier Group, including the First Sentier Geared Australian Share Fund Complex ETF (ASX: LEVR), the First Sentier ex-20 Australian Share Fund Active ETF (ASX: XX20) and the First Sentier Active Cash Fund Active ETF (ASX: FSCF).
