First Sentier has announced a series of appointments to its global leadership team following its acquisition by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation.
The roles recruited for include global head of data, chief information security officer and chief audit officer.
Justin Hourigan will commence in the role of global head of data.
He was previously with Clover-More where he worked as the global manager, data, analytics and innovation, and prior to that he worked with Commonwealth Bank as a data analytics manager.
"Hourigan brings a depth of experience in successfully leading and implementing data management capabilities, and underpinning business decisions with data-driven business intelligence and analytics," First Sentier said.
Lorraine Dryland has been appointed chief information security officer reporting in to global head of IT.
Dryland will be responsible for information and cyber security and will focus on implementing a security strategy and framework to uplift the business' capabilities in this area.
She has 20 years of experience protecting UK Critical National Infrastructure in the public and private sector and joins the firm from the Department for Work and Pensions and has previously worked for Vodafone, Bank of England and the UK's National Crime Agency.
Lastly, Ben Marks has been appointed chief audit officer and will report to the board.
Marks is a chartered accountant and a certified information systems auditor having worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years.
He has previously held senior roles at Westpac, Merrill Lynch Australia, Bankers Trust Australia and KPMG. He is also a director and treasurer of the Australian Association of Lloyd's Members.
The appointments follow that of former Nikko Asset Management head of global operations, Rob Scott, as First Sentier's chief operating officer in June.
First Sentier chief executive Mark Steinberg said the appointments signal the business is establishing stronger foundations to support growth globally.
