Drummond Capital names new research head

Drummond Capital Partners has promoted Adele O'Shannassy to the role, acknowledging her growing leadership within the firm's investment team.

O'Shannassy will lead research across asset classes, supporting portfolio construction and strategy for the multi-asset investment manager's high-net-worth, family office and financial intermediary clients.

She joined Drummond Capital in 2022 as an analyst but was quickly promoted to senior analyst two years later.

The new research lead arrived from Zenith Investment Partners, where she spent seven years, most recently covering Australian and international equity managers for the research team.

She began her career at Zenith as a data analyst before moving through the investment consulting team and finally to research

Drummond managing partner and portfolio manager Tom Schubert said the firm continues to grow strongly and will expand the range of solutions it offers to advice practices.

Schubert said the firm will be making several new hires over the next two months and is currently recruiting investment analysts to expand its research coverage.

"Adele's promotion is recognition of her outstanding work to date and ensures the rigour and integrity of our process is upheld as we continue to expand," he said.

The firm has also promoted Shyanshini Sunnassee to the role of business development manager.

Previously, Sunnassee, who has been with the firm for 18 months, worked at Macquarie Group's private banking and wealth management business.

"It's been an incredible journey so far, and I'm grateful for all the support, guidance and opportunities along the way," Sunnassee said.

"I'm excited to dive into this next chapter, learning, building meaningful connections, and helping deliver great outcomes for our clients and partners."
