Ausbil bolsters Australian equities teamBY STAFF WRITER | THURSDAY, 3 SEP 2026 2:06PMAusbil Investment Management has recruited a senior investment analyst from Bennelong Australian Equity Partners to join its Australian equities team, and announced an internal promotion. Andrew Donlan joins Ausbil, effective September 10, from Bennelong Australian Equity Partners, where he has been a senior investment analyst since May 2022, with research coverage spanning technology, media, diversified financials and a range of industrial companies. He previously held equity research roles at UBS and CLSA. He will report to Chris Smith, Ausbil's head of equities research. Meanwhile, Beyhan Irmako has been promoted to portfolio manager, microcap and small cap. His promotion recognises his contribution to Ausbil's emerging companies capability and expands his portfolio management responsibilities across the firm's Australian small and micro-cap strategies, the fund said in a statement. "Beyhan has made an outstanding contribution to the small and microcap team and has continued to expand his investment and portfolio management responsibilities. His promotion is well deserved and strengthens the continuity and depth of the capability," said Paul Xiradis, executive chairman, chief investment officer and head of equities at Ausbil. On Donlan's appointment, Xiradis said that his analytical capability, diverse sector experience and knowledge of the industry makes him a strong addition to Ausbil's equities team. The announcements come three months after Ausbil was appointed co-manager of a New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) fund, helping the group oversee a new global small-mid cap equity strategy.
