Advice dealer group, fintech align

A national financial advice licensee partnered with an innovative investment platform.

Advisers licensed by Elders Financial Planning can now access Cashwerkz, a term deposit administration service and cash management platform.

Advice clients can access current term deposit rates across a wide range of Australian banks and other authorised deposit-taking institutions.

Elders advisers using Xplan can also benefit from a wide range of data feeds offered by Cashwerkz, enabling them to comprehensively measure asset allocation, cash exposure and liquidity levels.

"We are very conscious of the need to continuously innovate throughout our organisation to counteract the increased levels of administration and myriad of challenges that advisers are currently facing and Cashwerkz will be a big help in creating these efficiencies for our advice network," Elders general manager Tony Beaven said.

Also commenting, Cashwerkz chief executive Hector Ortiz said: "Being included as an administration provider for Elders Financial Planning is confirmation that Cashwerkz is delivering the right technological solutions for advisers and advice businesses that are looking for innovative solutions."

Also in late 2018, Elders formed an alliance with Statewide Super to expand the fund's advice network across Australia and help to service its members.

Statewide Super has more than 140,000 members, 22,000 employers and $8 billion in funds under management.

Elders Financial Planning has more than 60 financial planners nationwide with more than $1 billion under advice.
