Activist investor hires distribution leadBY ELIZABETH FRY | THURSDAY, 3 JUL 2025 2:23PM![]() Morgan Stanley Wealth Management's former head of investment solutions, Scarlett Dorney, has joined Sandon Capital in much the same role. As head of client solutions at the activist investor, Dorney's role will encompass distribution, strategy and marketing for Sandon's activist investment strategy Dorney said she will work with both wholesale and institutional clients. "We're thrilled to work with someone of Scarlett's calibre and experience as we look to grow our investor base," said Sandon Capital founder and chief executive Gabriel Radzyminski. Before joining Morgan Stanley in October last year, Dorney served as executive director at MSCI, a director at asset manager BlackRock and worked with the credit analysis and relationship management team at Westpac. As a specialist activist investor, Sandon Capital regularly engages with company boards and fellow shareholders to unlock value for shareholders and investors. Its latest targets include Southern Cross Media Group, Magellan Financial Group, COG Financial Services and oil and gas explorer Karoon Energy - all now facing pressure from the vocal shareholder.
