Team Super welcome new chief of staffBY MATTHEW WAI | MONDAY, 6 JUL 2026 11:58AM![]() Team Super has appointed a senior executive to oversee its operations and staff, working alongside chief executive Vasyl Nair. Nina Scott-Toms has joined the super fund as chief of staff, bringing two decades of experience across the financial services sector. She joined from Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre, where she was the chief of staff and operations, responsible to drive strategic priorities and effectiveness across research, education, and commercialisation initiatives. The research facility partnered with the Reserve Bank of Australia for Project Acacia - which was finalised in May, indicating the tokenisation of domestic financial infrastructures can inject up to $24 billion to Australia's economy. Meanwhile, earlier in her career, Scott-Toms also worked in a similar capacity at Perpetual for nearly two years, business manager in investments at TCorp, as well as senior roles at the Commonwealth Bank for more than 12 years. "Nina brings deep experience across strategy and organisational performance, together with a proven ability to drive execution and deliver outcomes," a Team Super spokesperson said. "She will play an important role in helping us deliver on our strategic priorities and create long-term value for our members." Sharing her appointment on LinkedIn, Scott-Toms said she looks forward to joining the super fund. "I'm thrilled to share that I've recently stepped into a new role as chief of staff at Team Super, working alongside Vasyl Nair and his incredible team," Scott-Toms said. "It's already clear why so many people build such long careers here - a strong culture, great people, and a genuine commitment to making a difference for members." Team Super was formed in March last year by the merger between Mine Super and TWUSUPER, bringing together 150,000 members and $22 billion in funds under management at the time. Related News |
