Strong USD reflects (deflects) lift-off

A strong currency is a 'de facto' interest rate hike. It slows the economy by making exports less competitive and imports cheaper and it also erodes earnings of offshore US companies when translated back into the greenback. And oh, it also reduces inflation pressure.
