Brakenridge joins Funds SA with more than 18 years of global investment and industry experience spanning equities, emerging markets, sustainable investing and institutional client management. Most recently, she held the role of product strategist, Asia and emerging markets core team within BlackRock's fundamental equity group in Hong Kong, where she worked across Asia and emerging market equity strategies and led a team focused on product strategy, innovation and client engagement. "As we continue to strengthen our investment capability, we have taken the decision to re-establish the role of director, equities to provide dedicated leadership for two of our largest asset classes," Funds SA chief executive John Piteo said. "The role reflects the significance of equities within our overall investment strategy and our commitment to delivering strong, sustained and competitive investment outcomes for our clients over the long-term." Funds SA chief investment officer, Con Michalakis thanked Rajani Khetan, who has been acting head of equities over the past 12 months. "I want to thank Rajani for her leadership of the equities team and hard work over the last 12 months," Michalakis said. "She has provided strong stewardship, stability and support to the team while continuing to drive investment outcomes, and her contribution during this period has and continues to be greatly appreciated."
