CareSuper hires from AustralianSuper, RestBY MATTHEW WAI | THURSDAY, 13 AUG 2026 12:06PM![]() CareSuper has welcomed two senior investment directors from other super funds to strengthen its investment capability. Jessica Melville has joined the $65 billion fund as general manager portfolio management, while Andrew Thomas commenced as general manager portfolio design. Coming from AustralianSuper where she was head of mid risk portfolio strategy and research for nearly five years, Melville is responsible for driving the fund's investment program across all asset classes. Previously, she spent over 12 years at Willis Towers Watson, serving in senior capacities including as head of strategic advisory, investments, after a two-year stint at Pengana Capital. Meanwhile, Thomas brings over three decades of experience across super, insurance and global asset management, and was most recently the head of investment strategy and asset allocation at Rest for over five years. Prior to that, he was managing director, head of client portfolio solutions for Australia at BlackRock after a 19-year stint at QBE. He also worked at Perpetual Investments earlier in his career. CareSuper chief investment officer Suzanne Branton welcomed the appointees. "We are delighted to welcome Jessica and Andrew to our team.
