Perennial appoints co-head of private investmentsBY ELIZA BAVIN | TUESDAY, 4 FEB 2025 11:42AMPerennial Partners has appointed Luke Fay as co-head of Perennial Private Investments, as the firm strengthens its private markets capabilities. Fay will commence immediately and be based in Perennial's Melbourne office. Fay joins Perennial from Artesian, where he served as managing partner and head of venture capital, leading the firm's private company investments and portfolio management activities over the last 10 years. Perennial said Fay will maintain his connection with Artesian as a venture partner going forward. Prior to Artesian, Fay was a managing director at UBS Investment Bank in the firm's fixed income and credit trading division in New York and Sydney. Working alongside Fay as co-head of Perennial private investments, Brendan Lyons welcomed the appointment. "Luke's extensive experience across private markets and investment banking brings valuable depth to our team," Lyons said. "His proven track record in deal execution and portfolio management will enhance our capabilities in sourcing new opportunities, supporting existing portfolio companies, and managing successful exits from our investments." Commenting on his appointment, Fay said: "Perennial Private Investments has established itself as Australia's preeminent provider of private growth and pre-IPO capital for emerging companies."
